The Third Annual International Tsehai Conference will take place in Washington, DC from June 28th to July 3rd 2008. The theme of this year's conference is Ethiopia's Youth, Ethiopia's Future . PROGRAM | OPENING SPEECH
The conference will be an intensive, life-changing experience where young people will have access to positive, charismatic leaders in many fields and where they forge long-term relationships that will continue to inspire positive change in their life and the society at large.

A project of the Ethiopian Heritage Foundation, this conference is jointly organized by Tsehai Publishers, the International Journal of Ethiopian Studies, the Ethiopian Institute for Nonviolence Education and Peace Studies and the African Academic Press. The main objective of Tsehai Conference is to provide an international forum that brings together academics, researchers, other professionals, civic and political leaders, artists and entrepreneurs to discuss, debate and deliberate on the State of Ethiopian affairs and the diaspora.
The Third Annual Tsehai conference will consist a series of panels and roundtables, Tsehai Summar Institute's workshops, film Festival, book launches, and award programs run and presented by Ethiopian leaders — community activists, scientists, artists, writers, historians, and others—who gather for the purpose of exchanging ideas that promote solutions to world problems.
